Socialwok was founded on the premise that if social networks like Facebook and Twitter were so effective in helping us communicate with our friends, then why should we continue to depend on the ineffciencies of CC or BCC emails to collaborate at work with colleagues. Socialwok was created to allow organizations to harness the ease and power of rich media and feeds to improve collaboration and communication.

With Socialwok, everyone can:

• create rich media feeds to share ideas and information like web links, documents and videos within the organization as well as with external parties.
• create profiles and status feed pages to collaborate in groups which also serve as a knowledge base of past ideas and conversations in the organization
• aggregate and publish feeds and RSS from and to various social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin) and websites
• be informed of what relevant and popular topics are being discussed within the organization and get recommendations of related blogs, tweets, web pages on the internet and social networks

The basic service is free with customizations available by installing applications and widgets from the Socialwok app platform. Paid subscription accounts with additional administrative features, applications and dedicated support are also available for companies.
